School Health

WDG Public Health has had a long time presence in schools. Our staff immunize, screen for dental health, and promote healthy living. Public health staff work with teachers, parents, and students in over 120 elementary and secondary schools.

Elementary School Services 

Secondary School Services
Health promotion and education, counselling, and clinic services provided. A physician and nurse practitioner from WDG Public Health is available at most secondary schools.

Dental Health Services -  Provides dental screenings for children 0-13 years of age. CINOT (children in Need of Treatment) provides financial assistance to cover the cost of urgent dental care for children ages 0-13 in low-income families who do not have dental insurance and are not OW or ODSP recipients.
