Protect You and Your Family Clean your hands often. Use an alcohol handrub or wash your hands with soap and warm water. Make sure your vaccinations, especially your flu shot, are up-to-date. Stay home if you feel sick and limit contact with others. Cover your mouth and nose when you sneeze or cough. Use a tissue or the bend of your elbow. Regularly clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces such as doorknobs, countertops, telephones, and toys.
