For many years, WDG Public Health has been working with students, staff, administrators, parent councils, and various other stakeholders to promote and protect the health of children. SERVICES Every elementary school in Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph has been assigned a public health nurse who can: - Provide staff consultations for curriculum planning
- Provide health workshops and presentations
- Work with student/staff groups to build leadership skills
- Provide displays and other health-related resources, including bulk orders of brochures, fact sheets, and pamphlets such as Canada's Food Guide
- Provide support and information to school councils
- Help you assess the health needs and capacities of your students, school, and greater community
- Help you develop strategies to address important issues in your school
