Prebirth Registration Clinics

What are Prebirth Registration Clinics?

Prebirth registration clinics offer women the opportunity to speak with a public health nurse about their pregnancy and to complete the necessary hospital forms before baby arrives. You can register as early as 12 weeks pregnant.

Where are you planning to deliver your baby?

Centre and North Wellington

  • Palmerston District Hospital - Palmerston
     Clinics are held Mondays. To register, call 519-343-2030.
  • Louise Marshall Hospital - Mount Forest
    Clinics are held Wednesdays. To register, 519-323-2210 and ask for prebirth bookings.
  • Groves Memorial Hospital - Fergus
    Clinics are held Tuesdays. To register, call 519-843-2010 ext. 271, Monday to Friday, 7:30-3:30.

Duffern and Town of Erin

  • Headwaters Health Care Centre, 100 Rolling Hills Drive, Orangeville
    Clinics are held Wednesdays 9:00-3:30.

Is this your first baby?
If yes - book your appointment for an in person visit with a PHN by calling 519-941-2410 ext. 2236 Monday to Friday 8:30-3:00. At the appointment you will recieve:

  • Information about having a healthy pregnancy
  • Caring for your new baby
  • Community resources
  • Complete paperwork(refer to Step 1)

Not your first baby?

You may have your visit by telephone. A public health nurse is available to help you.

  • Step 1. Complete your paperwork:
  • The Edinburgh Depression Screening Tool
  • Step 2. Call 519-941-2410 to register for a telephone appointment. Telephone appointments are Wednesdays 1:30-3:30.
  • If you would prefer to meet with a public health nurse in person call 519-941-2410.

Guelph

20 Shelldale Crescent. Clinics are held Thursdays.

  • Complete your paperwork (refer to Step one)

Not your first baby?

You may have your visit by telephone. A public health nurse is available to help you.

You many have a telephone visit on Thursdays  between 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.             

If you would prefer to meet in person with a public health nurse register online.

Out of town?

If you are a resident of Wellington or Dufferin County you can arrange your appointment closer to home.
